NEIL HORNSBY The guitarist Neil Hornsby graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in 1996 following four years of study with Colin Downs and John Mills. While at the Academy he took part in several master-classes with Julian Bream, John Williams, Leo Brouwer and Julian Byzantine, and was also a prize winner in the Julian Bream Competition. He has performed as a soloist with the Royal Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra, playing Michael Kamen's Don Juan de Marco Suite, conducted by the composer, as part of the International Film Festival. He has also performed concertos by Rodrigo and by Vivaldi with Enfield Arts and the Hindhead Sinfonia respectively. As a chamber musician he has worked with many different combinations of ensembles and instruments, all of which highlight the versatility of the classical guitar. He also plays regularly with the Hornsby duo (violin and guitar), which he has taken on Page & Moy cruises. He is the guitar teacher at Bedales School, Hampshire.
