PANSY CHANG Pansy Chang, cellist, is presently Associate Professor of Violoncello at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. She has appeared with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and Chamber Music Northwest, and concerto appearances include performances with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, DC, and the Oregon Symphony. She also performs regularly with the Portland, Oregon-based band, Pink Martini, whose numerous appearances with orchestra include performances with the Boston Symphony and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Pansy Chang earned her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees at the University of Southern California and Yale University School of Music, respectively. She was awarded a Fulbright Grant for study in the United Kingdom, and was a semi-finalist in the Leonard Rose International Cello Competition. Prior to joining the Miami University music faculty, she served for two years as Assistant to Aldo Parisot and Lecturer in Violoncello at Yale University School of Music, and for four years as a member of the Oregon Symphony.
