PASCAL QUIGNARD (b 1948 )
Author Pascal Quignard was born in 1948 in Verneuil-sur-Avre (France) and lives in Paris. He has taught at the Université de Vincennes and at the École Pratique des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. He founded the Festival d’Opéra et de Théâtre Baroque de Versailles, and presided over the Concert des Nations. He was on the reading committee of Editions Gallimard, where he served as Secretary General until 1994. He is the author of Tous les matins du monde and winner of the Prix Goncourt (2002). His works are published by Gallimard, Grasset, Mercure de France, Seghers, Hachette, Calmann-Lévy, Flammarion, Le Seuil. His Requiem libretto is published by Galilée, Paris.
