Paul Slack originally trained as a bricklayer in his native Nottinghamshire. He has just completed work on the film Alleycats, a London-based thriller, and the romantic fantasy film Fallen, directed by Scott Hicks. Inside the Mind of Mr D.H. Lawrence, a film based on his acclaimed solo play Phoenix Rising, which toured nationally and internationally, premièred at the Broadway Cinema in Nottingham last year as part of the D.H. Lawrence Festival. Paul has worked extensively in theatre, most notably in the West End, at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Bristol Old Vic, English Touring Theatre, the RSC and the Hammersmith Lyric. He is a regular contributor to radio drama and has read D.H. Lawrence’s Sons and Lovers for Naxos AudioBooks.
