The baritone Raffaele Facciolà studied in Calabria and made his début in 2003 as Masetto in Don Giovanni at the third Savona Festival of Opera Giocosa, appearing the following year as the Count in Paisiello’s Nina pazza per amore and as Don Chilone in Vinci’s Erighetta e Don Chilone. A prizewinner in Pozzuoli, he sang Nardo in Galuppi’s Il fi losofo di campagna in Naples, with other rôles in operas by Cimarosa, Puccini and Rossini. In 2011 he made his début as Don Parmenione in Rossini’s L’occasione fa il ladro at the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Messina and in Milan sang Uberto in Pergolesi’s La serva padrona.
