RALF LUKAS

German bass-baritone Ralf Lukas has been highly acclaimed in rôles such as Hans Sachs (Die Meistersinger), Wotan and The Wanderer (Der Ring des Nibelungen) as well as Kaspar (Die Freischütz) and Barak (Frau ohne Schatten). Since 2006 he has been part of the production of The Ring (Donner and Gunther) at the Bayreuth Festival under Christian Thielemann. As a renowned concert singer, Ralf Lukas appears at Festivals including Montpellier, the London Proms, Lucerne, Rheingau and Schleswig-Holstein. His repertoire ranges from the Bach Passions and Haydn’s Creation to the Requiem of Brahms and Schoenberg’s Gurrelieder.
