RALF SAUERBREY

Ralf Sauerbrey had his vocal training in Italy with Gianni Raimondi, Pier Miranda Ferraro, Leone Magiera and Carlo Bergonzi. He has won several prizes including, in 2001, first prize in the Taranto International Singing Competition. He has appeared at the Prague State Opera and at opera houses in Reggio Emilia, Forlì, Fidenza, Schwerin, Dessau, Odessa and Dniepropetrovsk, with rôles including Don Giovanni, Belcore, Nabucco, Amonasro, Falstaff, Scarpia, Gianni Schicchi, Escamillo and the title rôle in Krenek’s Diktator, as well as a series of first performances. His concert repertoire includes Mozart’s Requiem, Haydn’s “Nelson” Mass, Beethoven’s “Choral” Symphony, Brahms’s Ein Deutsches Requiem and Zemlinsky’s Lyrische Symphonie.
