ROB MIDDLETON Rob Middleton is a prize-winning composer and an active woodwind player and teacher in the New York area. He has performed with many jazz greats, including Wynton Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, Phil Woods, Harry Connick Jr., Lionel Hampton, Dizzy Gillespie, Woody Shaw, Oliver Lake, and David Liebman. Rob’s recent recordings include Live from New York with the Birdland Big Band, Composers in Collaboration, new music by New Jersey women composers, and Urban Soundscapes with NewYorkestra, of which he is co-leader and composer. His arrangement of Windmills of Your Mind, recorded by the Chico O’Farrill Afro-Cuban jazz big band featuring Rob as the soloist, can be heard in the 1999 movie The Thomas Crown Affair.
