The tenor Robert Sellier was born in Munich in 1979 and studied at the Augsburg Musikhochschule with Jan Hammar. He has appeared with a number of original instrument ensembles, including the Munich Neue Hofkapelle and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, with which he sang Emilio in Mozart’s Il sogno di Scipione in Klagenfurt and Salzburg. At the Gärtnerplatz in Munich his rôles have included Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Count Almaviva (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Fenton (Falstaff), and Alfred (Die Fledermaus). Since September 2013 he has been a member of Oper Halle.
