ALBERTO ROSADO Alberto Rosado has been critically acclaimed as one of the most relevant contemporary music performers around today, a fact witnessed by his concerts throughout Europe, in Latin America and in Japan. He has played as a soloist under the conductors Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Arturo Tamayo, Philip Greenbeck, Dorel Margu and José Luis Temes and collaborated as a pianist and chamber musician with Josep Colom, Péter Nagy, Ferenc Rados, Jan Wijn and Luca Chiantore, among others. He is a member of the Plural Ensemble and the Proyecto Gerhard, and has given a number of first perfomances of works by Spanish and other European composers, with whom he has worked closely. His recordings include works by Ligeti, Messiaen, Takemitsu and Cage, and he has recorded widely for broadcasts throughout Europe. Alberto Rosado combines his concert activity with teaching as head of the Chamber Music department in the Conservatorio Superior in Salamanca, where he also gives contemporary piano classes and conducts the Contemporary Music Workshop. During 2003 and 2004 he was guest professor at the Catholic University in Santiago de Chile.
