Born in Valladolid in 1984, Rubén Ramiro began his musical studies at the School of Music of Medina del Campo with Lourdes Barbado, continuing at the Professional Conservatories of Zamora and Valladolid with Natividad Gamazo, Maria Luisa Carvajal and Diego Fernández Magdaleno. He continued his studies at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid with piano teachers Guillermo Gonzalez and Elena Orobio and chamber music with Belén González Domonte. In 2005 he obtained a scholarship to study at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg (Austria) with George Kern. As a soloist he took first prize at the III Jóvenes Intérpretes Competition of the Rotary Club of Valladolid, and prizes at the V National Piano Competition of Ciudad de La Línea, at the XII and XIII International Competitions of Ciudad de San Sebastián, and at the XIII International Competition José Roca in Valencia. He has given recitals in Spanish cities such as Valladolid, San Sebastian, Burgos, Zamora, Leon and Madrid among others, and in Paris, Normandy and Salzburg. He has also performed live for Radio Clásica of Spanish National Radio. He currently teaches piano at the Conservatory of Music in Haro (La Rioja).
