SABINE VATIN Sabine Vatin studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique (CNSM) in Paris, where she obtained first prizes in chamber music, piano, accompaniment, harpsichord and basso continuo, and a prize in choral conducting. She has taught music theory for singers there since 1987. Following posts as chef de chant (choral director) at the Paris Opéra in 1986 and at Aix-en-Provence in 1987, then at the Théâtre du Châtelet from 1990, she was appointed artistic advisor at the Châtelet in 1992, working first with Stéphane Lissner, then with Jean-Pierre Brossmann. She has given numerous recitals (Aix-en-Provence, Radio France, Théâtre des Champs-Elysées), partnered various singers as accompanist and performed chamber music with distinguished fellow-artists. She has made several recordings on piano and fortepiano.
