SERGIO BOSI Sergio Bosi is principal clarinet in the FORM Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana and teaches at the G. Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, where, at the age of 16, he graduated with the maximum of votes, distinction and grants. Winner in numerous international solo and chamber music competitions, he has recorded 10 CDs, largely promoting Italian repertoire, for Naxos, Bongiovanni, Arcam Cambridge, Mondomusica and EMI, achieving important critical acclaim and awards, extending clarinet discography with over 40 new pieces, many of them in world first recordings. He has appeared in Italy, Europe, the United States and Japan, and is a regular guest at the world congress ClarinetFest by ICA (Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles) and holds masterclasses at many institutions, including Vienna University and the Real Conservatorio Superior de Madrid. He supervises the Rare Italian Clarinet Music series for the publisher Eufonia, including important works like Rossini’s Variazioni in C (from the manuscript) and Magnani’s complete works for clarinet and piano.
