SUSANNE BERNHARD The soprano Susanne Bernhard comes from Munich and began her vocal studies there at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in 1995, participating in a number of productions of the Bavarian Theatre Academy. In 2000 at the age of 23 she became a member of the company of the Kiel Opera, where she undertook a number of rôles, at the same time dedicating her attention to Lieder, oratorio and concert work. Her many engagements have led to collaboration with the Georgian Chamber Orchestra under Markus Poschner, the Bavarian Chamber Philharmonic, the Paris Ader Ensemble, the New Munich Court Chapel with Christoph Hammer, the West German Radio Symphony Orchestra with Semyon Bychkov, the Russian National Orchestra with Alexander Sladovsky, the Ludwigsburg Castle Festival with Wolfgang Gönnenwein, the Stuttgart Bach Academy and Helmuth Rilling, the St Petersburg Philharmonic, the Herrenchiemsee Castle Festival with Ljubka Biagioni zu Guttenberg and the Neubeuern Choral Society with Enoch zu Guttenberg, as well as the chorus of the Bavarian Radio. She has collaborated in a number of recordings.
