THIRD ANGLE ENSEMBLE Founded in 1985, Third Angle has become a primary creative force in the cultural landscape of Portland and the Pacific Northwest. Its mission is to perform and record masterworks of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, while commissioning new works from regional and nationally recognized composers. Over the past twenty-one seasons, Third Angle has presented over ninety programs of contemporary music, commissioned over thirty new works, and released seven recordings to critical acclaim, firmly establishing its place as one of the foremost presenters of contemporary American music in the States.
