American baritone Todd Thomas is acclaimed worldwide as a true Verdi baritone with performances including Falstaff with Seattle Opera under Gerard Schwartz, Amonasro in Aida with Opera Carolina, the title rôle in Rigoletto with Austin Lyric Opera, Count di Luna in Il trovatore with Manitoba Opera, and Iago in Otello and Renato in Un ballo in maschera with Des Moines Opera Festival. He made his Metropolitan Opera début as Dr. Metivier in War and Peace, New York City Opera début as Scarpia in Tosca, and Carnegie Hall début in the Duruflé Requiem and Mark Hayes’ Te Deum and Spirit Suite.
