THOMAS HUTCHINSON Thomas Hutchinson has been Principal Trombone of the New York City Opera since 2002. He performs frequently with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra of St Luke’s, American Symphony Orchestra, and has also performed with The Cleveland Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra, Kirov Orchestra, and with the brass section of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. His solo credits include the world première of Wendy Chambers’s Mass for Mass Trombones and the American première of Kalevi Aho’s Symphony No. 9, for trombone and orchestra.
