Italian flutist Raffaele Trevisani studied with James Galway. After playing for four years (1984–1988) with the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala of Milan, he commenced a brilliant solo career receiving critical acclaim and enthusiastic responses from the public. Flutists Jean Pierre Rampal, Julius Baker and Maxence Larrieu also recognised his talent and musicianship. In Italy, Raffaele Trevisani played with orchestras like I Solisti Veneti, Orchestra da camera di Padova e del Veneto, I Pomeriggi Musicali di Milano, I Cameristi della Scala and I Solisti della Scala.

For many years, he has been invited to Japan, USA, South America and Europe for concert tours and masterclasses playing in important halls like Bunkakaikan, Suntory Hall and Nikkei Hall in Tokio, Symphony Hall in Detroit, Trinity Church in New York, Wigmore Hall in London or Memorial da America Latina in San Paolo. He played in the most important flute festivals: Boston ’93, Frankfurt ’95, Chicago ’97, Rome ’97. Raffaele Trevisani made recordings for Italian RAI radio, Japan NHK radio, RAI Corporation Television in New York, English BBC and Brasilian Television. He played in a series of duo concertos with Maxence Larrieu and with James Galway for the Italian Television. He recorded CDs with music for flute and piano with his wife, pianist Paola Girardi.
