TRIO ARRIAGA

Daniel Ligorio, piano
Felipe Rodríguez, violin
David Apellániz, cello

The members of the Trio Arriaga have performed at festivals and major concert halls of Europe, Asia and America. Their solo careers have led them to perform with leading orchestras in Spain and abroad, and to share the stage with distinguished soloists, groups and international conductors. In 2010 the trio won the Gaetano Zinetti International Chamber Music Competition, and other triumphs include the Tibor Varga International Competition, the Joaquín Rodrigo, Kendall Taylor Prize and Quilter Beethoven International Competition. The players are all winners (solo category) of the Spanish National Jeunesses Musicales. Trained in France, England and Germany they have studied with prestigious artists including Maxim Vengerov, Pinchas Zukerman, Bruno Canino, Bernard Greenhouse and Menahim Pressler (Beaux Arts Trio), among others. The Trio Arriaga has made a definitive recording of the Complete Piano Trios of Joaquín Turina, in addition to some 25 other CDs recorded by the trio and its members.
