TWENTIETH CENTURY CLASSICS ENSEMBLE Robert Craft formed the Twentieth Century Classics Ensemble to perform and record the seminal works of the last century, in particular the music of Stravinsky, Schoenberg and Webern. Since the late 1980s Fred Sherry has engaged musicians who, in addition to being virtuosos, have a deep commitment to this music. The close working relationship between the players and Robert Craft has produced finely tuned and deeply felt performances which are heightened by Craft’s own stamp of authenticity. These recordings have been hailed by critics and fellow musicians alike.
