Born in Monaco in 1980, Vanya Cohen entered the Conservatoire de Paris at the age of fifteen to study with pianist Bruno Rigutto. During her postgraduate studies she participated in masterclasses with Leon Fleisher, Alicia de Larocha, Maria João Pires and Paul Badura-Skoda. From 2003 to 2005 she was one of the last students privileged to study under the late Lazar Berman, at the prestigious Imola Piano Academy in Italy.  She has received numerous awards over the years, including Second Prize at the International San Remo Piano Competition in 2003, and her appearances include the Music Festival of the Kremlin (Russia), Tel Haï Festival (Israel), Mannes Festival (New York), Antalya Festival (Turkey), and the Hôtel National des Invalides (Paris) among others. Recent performances include appearances as a soloist with the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cannes Regional Orchestra, the San Remo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Paris Conservatoire Orchestra. Her enthusiasm for chamber music has allowed her to dedicate most of her activity to this repertoire for years.
