Vassilis Kavayas studied in Corfu, Kalamata and Salzburg. In 2008 he made his operatic début as Edoardo in La cambiale di matrimonio in Corfu and in Fasano. Other rôles include Rossini’s Count Almaviva in Athens, Don Ramiro in La Cenerentola at the Salzburg Landestheater, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte at the Strovolos and Rialto Theatre of Cyprus, and Belmonte in Die Entführung aus dem Serail at the Salzburg Mozarteum, Bad Reichenhall and Sibiu (Romania). In February 2012 he sang Porsenna in Gluck’s Il trionfo di Clelia in Athens and in June at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
