VERONIKA WINTER

Veronika Winter was born in Limburg an der Lahn and had her first training as a singer in the cathedral choir. She went on to study musicology and Italian at the University of Erlangen and singing with Norma Lerer in Nuremberg, continuing the latter study at the Heidelberg/Mannheim Musikhochschule with Eva-Maria Molnar and with further work under Karlheinz Jarius and Barbara Schlick. Her particular interest in early music has brought collaboration with ensembles such as the Rheinische Kantorei, Musica Fiata Cologne, the Stuttgart Chamber Choir and others, and with the Himlische Cantorey in Hamburg. Her repertoire includes music of the classical and romantic periods, as well as the contemporary. She has participated in a number of broadcasts and recordings and appeared in major European festivals.
