VITO PRIANTE

In 2002 Vito Priante made his début in Pergolesi’s La serva padrona under the musical direction of Arnold Bosman at the Florence Teatro Goldoni in the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. He has appeared in festivals and leading opera-houses throughout Europe such as the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Munich, Florence, Genova, Naples, Paris and Lisbon. He appears frequently at the Salzburg Festival, Cremona, the Oslo Music Festival and Rossini in Wildbad, working with the most distinguished conductors including Mark Minkowski, Daniel Harding, Ivor Bolton, Ottavio Dantone, Dimitri Jurowski, Alan Curtis, Riccardo Frizza and Andrea Marcon, and in 2008 was awarded the XXVIII Franco Abbiati prize, appearing as Vivaldi’s Motezuma and as Il prigionero of Dallapiccola. His rôles range from Handel and Mozart to music of the twentieth century, from Leporello and Papageno to Malatesta in Don Pasquale.
