CHRISTOPHER WATSON

Christopher Watson studied music at Exeter University. He sang in the cathedral choirs of Exeter, Durham, Christ Church Oxford and Westminster and since 2005 has been based in Oxford, working as a freelance singer and conductor. He is a member of The Tallis Scholars, with whom he has made more than 300 appearances, Theatre of Voices, Gallicantus and Tenebrae and is much in demand as a soloist, particularly in the Passions of JS Bach. As a conductor he directs the chamber choir Sospiri with John Duggan, has conducted the Coro Casa di Música of Porto and is Director of Music at St Edmund Hall, one of the colleges of Oxford University.
