WENZEL FUCHS Wenzel Fuchs was born in Innsbruck, Austria. His career started as solo clarinettist at the Vienna Volksoper, changing to the ORF in Vienna and finally to the Berlin Philharmonic in 1993. In October 2008 he was appointed professor for clarinet at the Hochschule für Musik »Hanns Eisler« in Berlin. He has a visiting professorship at the Sakuyou University for Music in Okayama, Japan, as well as an honorary professorship at the conservatory in Shanghai, China.
