Lawrence White was born in Hertfordshire and is based in London. With a career built on his versatility as a baritone, he has performed wide-ranging musical repertoire at many major concert venues worldwide, both as a soloist and as contributor to vocal consorts, including engagements with The Sixteen, The English Concert, The Gabrieli Consort, Tenebrae and Synergy Vocals. A frequent oratorio soloist, he has also performed more rarely heard works such as Bernstein’s Dybbuk and Shostakovich’s Odna, as well as contemporary concert repertoire. He makes regular appearances with opera ensembles, and has numerous solo broadcast and recording credits, from the chant of the Knights Templar to Paco Peña’s Requiem for the Earth.
