YA LI WU

Born in 1998 in Zhejiang Province, China, Wu Ya Li was admitted to the Affiliated Primary School of Shanghai Conservatory of Music at the age of ten. Currently, she is a year-two student at the Affiliated Secondary Professional Music School of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, studying under professor Tang Beihua. In 2011 she won first prize in the 21st Young Musician International Competition “Città di Barletta”, Category D and was highly praised by renowned pianists Anton Kuerti, Peter Frankl and Oxana Yablonskaya. In the same year, Wu was awarded the 20th Fu Chengxian Memorial Scholarship of Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the student prize of Shanghai Arts and Cultural Talents Fund.
