Yun-yi Qin was born in 1992 in China and has won many prizes. In 2001 she was awarded the Second Prize in the Junior Piano Competition in Shanghai. In 2006 she won the First Prize of the I Junior Piano Competition of China in Beijing. In 2004 she took part in the Città di Barletta International Competition in Italy and won First Prize. In 2007 she won First Prize at the José Roca Concurso Internacional de Piano. In the fiftieth International Piano Competition of Jaén in 2008 she won First Prize and was also the youngest Gold Medal winner in Jaén. She has earned the praise of the Culture Department of Shanghai, and during the Olympic Games in 2008 was invited to perform in the International Arts Centre with Claude-Frank, Cyprien Katsaris, Lang Lang, and others. She later performed again in “Cheer for China” in the International Arts Centre. Since 2004 she has appeared in concerts extensively throughout China, France, Italy and Spain. Yun-yi Qin has studied in master-classes with masters such as Anton Kuerti, Paul Badura-Skoda, Dmitri Bashkirov, Cyprien Katsaris, Pierre Reach and Guillermo González. She is now studying with Beihua Tang.
