Penguin Guide, January 2009

Ludovíc Kanta’s playing is distinguished by imaginative and musicianly phrasing and a warm tone. The Slovak players under Peter Breiner give a good account of themselves, and this can hold its own against versions costing twice or three times as much.

Penguin Guide, January 2009

Ludovít Kanta is a fine artist. The excellent Naxos recording is made in a bright, resonant acoustic in which  every detail is clearly registered, though the players are perhaps forwardly placed. The accompaniments are alert and fresh. Kanta plays contemporary cadenzas. An excellent bargain.

"Here we get the eighteenth century's three most popular cello concertos, on one disc, at a rock-bottom price."

Penguin Guide

"An eloquent account of the Boccherini."
