Penguin Guide, January 2009

Mein Herz schwimmt im Blut (BWV 199) comes from Bach’s Weimar years, and Friederike Wagner proves both sympathetic and lively; and both Weichet nur, betrübte Schatten, popularly known as the ‘Wedding Cantata’, and 209, Non sà che sia dolore, are given thoroughly enjoyable performances…enjoyable for those who prefer a more traditional approach. Decent recording too.

"Wagner brings the music of both cantatas to life in a stylish and affectionate way"
