Penguin Guide, January 2009

Benjamin Frith on Naxos is a hardly less personable and nimble soloist: he is sensitively touching in the slow movements. The Slovak Orchestra accompany with vigour and enthusiasm, and if the effect is at times less sharply rhythmic this is partly the effect of a somewhat more reverberant acoustic. What makes the Naxos disc very competitive is the inclusion of the Rondo brilliant, which Frith dispatches with admirable vigour and sparkle. This disc is very good value indeed.

"the Naxos disc remains a bargain on every count"

CD Review

"Frith is clearly a most capable artist, with a fearsomely accurate set of fingers and a poetic instinct of no mean order"

"Det finns enligt min mening ingen battre solist i detta sammanhang an Benjamin Frith" (To my mind there is no better soloist in this context than Benjamin Frith)"
