Penguin Guide, January 2009

Adrian Leaper gets vibrant and involved playing from the Dublin orchestra in The Four Temperaments, which is as good as an in the catalogue (save for the Jensen), and the Espansiva is well paced, with tempi well judged throughout. The orchestra sounds better rehearsed and more accustomed to the Nielsen idiom than they did in their earlier disc, and they are certainly well enough recorded. Not necessarily a first choice but highly competitive.

Gramophone

"These are more than just serviceable performances: they are very good indeed"

BBC Music Magazine

"Leaper's impeccably prepared Naxos series"

Classic CD

"Adrian Leaper's performances, which are in most respects triumphantly successful, will doubtless attract a vast and grateful following"
