Penguin Guide, January 2009

These are appealing performances of the three Sonatas, Hob XVI/40–42, DEDICATED TO Princess Marie Esterházy. All three are fine works and not as simple as they are first appear. Jandó also gives a splendid account of the more ambitious three-movement Sonata in E minor, Hob XVI/34. He is a true Haydn player, and this is in every way recommendable, particularly as the recording is so vivid and clean: just right for the repertoire.

Gramophone

"I doubt many will be disappointed with playing as disciplined as this"

Classic CD

CD Review (UK)

"I would have no hesitation in making an unqualified recommendation for this highly enjoyable release"
