Penguin Guide, January 2009

The Missa Caput survives in a manuscript at the court of Ferrara but could possibly have been compiled in Bruges. Both of the Salve Regina settings are based on plainchant melody and are alternatim settings, the music alternating between a polyphonic treatment of the chant and the unadorned chant itself. Jeremy Summerly and his Oxford Camerata, recorded in the Chapel of Hertford College, Oxford, give expert and committed accounts of this music and they are accorded first-class sound.

Classic CD

"The Oxford Camerata and Jeremy Summerly do this wonderful music proud as they listen and carefully balance, quiet polyphonic lines and direction"
