Obras orquestales de Rebel y Francoeur

Un disco de evidente inclinación por la música barroca dedicada al teatro, específicamente a las artes dramáticas de la corte dieciochesca francesa, con obras de dos eminentes maestros: François Rebel (1701–1775) y François Francoeur (1698–1787), quienes fueron inspectores de la Opera de París. Rebel está representado por la ópera-ballet Zélindor, rey de las Sílfides, (estreno mundial con coro y orquesta) una deliciosa pastoral que gozó de la predilección de Madame de Pompadour, amante de Luis XV, sin duda porque su argumento—el amor de un rey y una “plebeya”—era un reflejo de su situación. Le sigue la suite de Le Trophée de Francoeur. Interpretan la Orquesta y Coro de la Opera Lafayette.
