These performances are as one would expect: technically sure, elegant, and expressive.
These are excellent performances. Rincon’s rhythm is rock solid, tempos ideal for the music. He has an impressive range of timbre and dynamics, without ever overplaying. The works are played so well that one never misses the original violin—or the guitar, for that matter. If you love this music—and who cannot?—you will find these rewarding recordings. © 2013 American Record Guide Read complete review on American Record Guide
The playing here is richly colourful and varied as you would expect, with contrasts of tonality and dynamic emphasised through a constantly changing touch.
Miguel Rincón’s performances of these two masterpieces are as good as any I’ve heard…
…this is still a nicely presented package…With subtle ornamentation, fine tone and a wide range of expression, this is a Bach recording which satisfies on many levels. © 2013 MusicWeb International Read complete review
