The Party in the Park Concerts of 1998 and 1999 revived a splendid tradition that had been forged by the desire of the Price of Wales to help young people through funds raised by successful concerts of contemporary pop and rock artists.

It's the kind of stellar line-up that has pop fans from all over the world getting excited and wishing they were there. Perhaps you were - in that case, you'll know it was the live soundtrack to the party of your dreams.

Some of the stars that rocked London's Hyde Park were Boyzone, Texas, Geri Halliwell, Steps, S Club 7, Madness, Martine McCutcheon, Culture Club, Honeyz, Mike & the Mechanics, Ronan Keating and UB40.

These great bands and artists play many of their much-loved hits and the audience keeps up a staggering level of participation right from the start.

After the peace, love and unity vibe of the previous decade, the seventies were marked more by uncertainty. This uncertainty was reflected in the music as many rock bands sought to experiment and in doing so forgot about the tunes. However, the seventies was also the decade that pop came of age and the dominance of British and American bands started to be challenged.

This DVD showcases the sheer diversity of sounds and styles of seventies pop for you to marvel at.
