Born September 29th 1935 in Ferriday, Louisiana, to the Lewis', a very religious family, Jerry would never escape his southern upbringing or his Assembly of God beliefs.

He was taught that music to dance to came from the devil, playing in honky-tonk was sinful and that drinking and flirting with women, would send him to hell.

An originator in a world of imitators, Jerry Lee Lewis, will be remembered with Chuck Berry, Little Richard, and Elvis Presley, as one of the true fathers of Rock & Roll.

Jerry Lee Lewis continues to be one of, if not the greatest Rock & Roll heroes of all time.

EXTRA FEATURES: Jerry Lee Lewis' Famous Quotes - don't forget his letter in Billboard that said, "I hope that if I'm washed up as an entertainer, it won't be because of this bad publicity."
