‘For me, the music in this second volume is an invitation to engage with the composer’s intimate response to the immensity of the night sky, the cosmos and the natural course of life. Following a curatorial approach to Bottiroli’s complete piano works, the programme presented here embodies all of his works inspired by the night and those in which he made reference to the stars and cosmos. This is a really special programme that includes the world premieres of Bottiroli's nocturnes, and introduces an original artistic genre of his own creativity (Five Piano Replies), in which Bottiroli, as composer-poet, brings together his two talents in one work with the heartfelt interpretation of his poems by the distinct voice of international renowned stage and film actor George Takei. On a more personal level, this release is especially meaningful, particularly track #4 (Album Page No. 1) as it was dedicated to me, “To Fabio, surely his best interpreter”.’ – Fabio Banegas
