The orchestra is the Norwegian Radio Orchestra directed by Anders Eljas of Chess and ABBA fame and by the eloquent Ingar Bergby.

Girl On The Moon

I have a girlfriend up on the moon
As tall as a tree
She blew a kiss that flew through heavenly skies
Only meant for me
I met her one evening
One night the moon was full
She beamed me into space
I couldn’t resist her pull
She pulled and pulled

She blew a kiss that tickled my cheek
And my ears turned red
Then sent a kiss that wet my lips
And went to my head
My heart started beating
Like sneakers in a washing machine
And my pants started flapping
Like a curtain on Halloween
On Halloween

It’s hard to love a girl on the moon
When we can only be together at night
And when the Moon goes down
My girl fades out of sight, out of sight
Out of sight, she’s out of sight
I have a girlfriend up on the moon

Planet of The Rats

Have you heard about the Planet of The Rats
Where humans are tiny and the rats are big
In stonewalls and behind wallpaper
That is where small people live

Grandad was from the Planet of The Rats
He was kept as a pet for a giant rat kid
The child was kind but Grandad so little
When the child got mad the elder hid

I need to fly up to the Planet of The Rats
To see how many small people I can save
Free and feed them so they become stronger
And chase all rats back into their caves

If you use your ears in the black of the night
You will hear creepy squeaky, weird sounds
If you use your eyes to look for twinkling stars
You’ll see a rocket ship that is Rat Planet bound

I need to fly up to the Planet of The Rats
To see how many small people I can save
Free and feed them so they become stronger
And chase all rats back into their caves

The Woods At Night

I want to sleep under stars tonight
Out in the woods where the wild cat fights
I want to sleep in the woods like a bear
Unafraid of any sound that I hear

The woods at night, are like a fairytale
Where shadows dance and foxes wail
The woods at night, can make you see
A unicorn jumping from tree to tree
In the woods at night, the moon will light your way
But it might also lead you astray

Is that a frozen lake ahead of me
Or mist from some mystic fantasy?
Have I wandered from my chosen trail
Or have I stepped onto a ship that’s setting sail?

I’d set up camp, by a magic stream
Where the ground is level and the water clean
A broken branch, that was trodden on
Made my heart race a marathon

Hidden eyes follow me down the trail
Some are bright, some are green and pale
I hope that around this next bend
I’ll find my tent and not another dead end

I want to sleep under stars tonight
Out in the woods where the wild cat fights
I want to sleep in the woods like a bear
Unafraid of any sound I hear
