Ask the Artist: Konstantin Scherbakov

With next month's release of Rachmaninov's Second and Third Piano Concertos (available in DVD-A and SACD), followed by Tchaikovsky concertos in May, Konstantin Scherbakov's endless repertoire accomplishments continue to amaze. Specialising in virtuoso repertoire, much of it previously considered unplayable, Scherbakov has been called a "modern Rachmaninov" and has gained international acclaim for his performances of Liszt's transcriptions of the Beethoven symphonies. Now you can ask the artist about his life, his career, wherever your curiosity takes you. Send questions to customer.service@naxos.com.

Next Month from Naxos

A fabulous February is in store for music fans, with the newest releases from Naxos. Audiophiles are in for a treat, with Rachmaninov's Second and Third Piano Concertos on DVD-A and SACD, played by the incredible Konstantin Scherbakov. A new twist on the "three B's" comes with Beethoven's unforgettable Missa Solemnis, piano music from Dave Brubeck, and music from . . . Bjork? Naxos Educational presents A Life: John Tavener, with a special world premiere track written by Tavener especially for the Icelandic singer.
