ALEXEI LUBIMOV

Alexei Lubimov has garnered a distinguished reputation built upon his historical performance abilities and contemporary music expertise. His recordings have brought him critical praise.

He began his musical training at the Central Music School in his native Moscow and studied from 1973 at the Moscow Conservatory as the last pupil of Heinrich Neuhaus. In addition to work as a recitalist, he has appeared with orchestras under conductors including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Neeme Järvi, Christopher Hogwood, Roger Norrington, Esa-Pekka Salonen and Yan Pascal Tortelier. His more than 30 recordings range from the complete sonatas of Mozart to Schubert, Chopin, Beethoven and Brahms and works of the 20th century.
