ALICE K. DADE
Award-winning flautist Alice K. Dade enjoys a career of great variety including concerto and chamber music appearances, recording projects, guest principal performances in orchestras in Asia and Scandinavia, and as a writer. As acting co-principal flute of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Dade has performed in concert tours throughout Europe. She has also performed as guest principal flute with the Bergen Philharmonic, the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, and the Seoul Philharmonic, as well as guest piccolo with the St. Louis Symphony. In addition, she has performed with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and is principal flute of Festival Mozaic.
Alice K. Dade joined the faculty at the University of Missouri School of Music in 2011 and has presented masterclasses at many universities. She has been a faculty member of PRIZM International Chamber Music Festival, Flutes by the Sea Masterclass, and Medellín Festicamara. Honored with the Young Artist Award upon graduation from Interlochen Arts Academy, she received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from The Juilliard School. Dade is a Powell Artist and plays a handmade 14K Powell Flute with a platinum headjoint
