Macedonian tenor Blagoj Nacoski was born in 1979 in Skopje, and studied in both Macedonia and Italy. Recent performances have included the roles of Paxong in Turandot at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Federico di Frengel in Stiffelio at the Festival Verdi in Parma and the lead role in the world premiere of Orazio Sciortino’s La paura, commissioned by La Fondazione Teatro Coccia, Novara.

Nacoski has appeared at opera houses such as the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, the Bunka Kaikan Theatre in Tokyo and the Zürich Opera House, has performed with the Seattle Opera, the Stuttgart Staatsoper and the New York City Opera, among others, and has worked with conductors such as Riccardo Chailly, Daniel Oren and Ivor Bolton.

He has given many recitals, including a concert celebrating Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes in 2005 at the Quirinal Palace in Rome, which was broadcast on Rai Radio 3 and Euroradio, and performed Schubert’s Winterreise in Milan, Skopje, Rome and Alessandria. He has also appeared on several albums and DVDs released by Deutsche Grammophon, Decca and Italian record label Dynamic.
