Blossom Street is a versatile chamber choir comprising young professional singers, which performs regularly on television and radio as well as on the concert platform. Directed by Hilary Campbell, the group was formed in 2003, while the singers were undergraduates at the University of York, and relocated to London in 2007. In addition to a busy performing schedule at home, their projects have included recordings, trips to Sweden and Spain, performances at the Edinburgh Fringe, regular broadcasts on Radio 4 and corporate, concert and festival work. There are planned tours of Spain and Japan and several education projects. In 2005, Blossom Street filmed a medley of Christmas carols for BBC2. They sang to Prince Charles on ITV1 as part of his sixtieth birthday celebrations, and in 2009 made their début in Queen Elizabeth Hall as part of the Voicelab series. The group has filmed for the TNT Show on Channel 4 and undertaken a social media campaign for Clintons Cards, has made adverts for sky+, HBO and Channel 5, and recorded two shows of the Sunday Half Hour for BBC Radio 2. They broadcast numerous shows quarterly for the Daily Service on BBC Radio 4. On the concert platform the group has performed at many of the major London venues. Their recording, Sleep, Holy Babe (Naxos 8.572868), has received particular acclaim.
