American tenor Brian Jagde performs at the world’s most celebrated opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera, New York, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the San Francisco Opera, the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, the Opéra national de Paris, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Teatro di San Carlo, the Wiener Staatsoper, and the Bolshoi Theatre.
His repertoire includes Cavaradossi (Tosca), Don José (Carmen), Calaf (Turandot), Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly), Radamès (Aïda), Turiddu (Cavalleria rusticana), Luigi (Il tabarro), Enzo Grimaldi (La Gioconda), Don Alvaro (La forza del destino), Maurizio (Adriana Lecouvreur) and Bacchus (Ariadne auf Naxos).
He has appeared in concert with the New York Philharmonic, the San Francisco Symphony, and at the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam.
Accolades include the top prize at the 2014 Loren L. Zachary Society for the Performing Arts National Vocal Competition for Young Opera Singers and Second Prize in Plácido Domingo’s 2012 Operalia, The World Opera Competition, where he also received the Birgit Nilsson Prize for Wagner and Strauss repertoire. He serves as the advisory board cochair for Time In Kids, an arts education organisation for students in NYC.
