The Russian violinist Ekaterina Frolova was born in St Petersburg and made her début in a Vivaldi concerto at the age of seven. From 2004 she studied with Antonina Kazarina at the conservatory, in 2009 going on to further study with Michael Frischenschlager at the Vienna University for Music and the Performing Arts. As a soloist she has collaborated with distinguished conductors and carried out engagements at the Usedom Music Festival, the Kissinger Summer, the Rotterdam Gergiev Festival and the Zurich International Orpheum Music Festival for the promotion of young soloists, with concerts in China, Russia, Germany, Finland, Slovenia and Switzerland. In chamber music she regularly appears with the pianist Vesselin Stanev.
