Emine Serdaroğlu began her piano studies with Ersin Onay, continued with Fuat Türkay and Cana Gürmen, and obtained her BM degree at Illinois Wesleyan University with high honours following her studies with Mark Hansen. She completed her MM degree at the University of Texas, Austin with William Race and received her PhD in Musicology at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Serdaroğlu has had the opportunity to work with pianists including Andrey Diev, Rita Sloan, Lala Margulis, Igor Kipnis and Ratko Delorko, and has given recitals in Turkey, the USA, Germany and Sweden. Her participation in the CelloPiano Duo with Dilbağ Tokay has resulted in acclaimed performances all over the world. Serdaroğlu, who frequently collaborates with other artists in a wide variety of musical projects, currently teaches at Boğaziçi University Fine Arts Department in Istanbul, and is an active conference participant with her research on Turkish composers and piano pedagogy.
