ENGUERRAND DE HYS

A 2014 Révélation Lyrique de l’Adami Lyric artist, Enguerrand de Hys studied singing in Toulouse and then at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, the Mozart Académie du Festival d’Aix and at the Academy of Royaumont Abbey. In 2011 he won Second Prize at the Concours International d’interprétation de Mélodie française de Toulouse. He is a member of the Ayònis trio, who are ensemble-in-residence at the Théâtre Impérial de Compiègne.

His previous roles include Bobinet in La Vie parisienne in Bordeaux, the First Commissioner in Dialogues des Carmélites at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and Caen, Tybalt in Roméo et Juliette in Nice, and roles in Ba-ta-clan, Les Brigands and Phèdre with the Opéra de Reims, La Périchole in Montpellier and Bordeaux, and Marie Stuart et Rizzio in Padua.

He has performed in recitals at the Opéra National de Bordeaux and the Lille Opéra. His roles include the Viscount in Raoul Barbe-Bleue in Trondheim, Marinoni in Fantasio in Montpellier, the Prince in Pesson’s Trois contes in Lille, Knappe in Parsifal and Mercury in Platée in Toulouse, and Remendado in Carmen in Dijon, among others. He sang Facio in Fantasio in 2017 and has also performed in recital at the Opéra Comique.
